Active Communities Champion Program' Award

Hello all,
Let me take this moment to let the members of our community here in halifax know of the recognition we have recieved from the HRM and Active Halifax Communities. I am pleased to inform you that Halifax Parkour has been chosen to receive Active Halifax Communities 'Active Communities Champion Program' award. This award showcases individuals, groups and organizations in HRM that go above and beyond to increase physical activity for youth, family and the community within HRM.

ACTIVE Halifax Communities (AHC) exists for the purpose of increasing the number of physically active children, youth and families in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Through collaborative partnerships, AHC strives to mobilize communities to increase the number of active opportunities available. Key to this initiative is building awareness and advocacy, participation, and building community capacity for active living. Active Halifax is a partnership between HRM, Nova Scotia Health Promotion and Protection, the Halifax Regional School Board, and Capital Health.

Congrats to our community for making parkour for everyone.
Have a great day.

-- I've just come across this rather cool-looking movie: http://www.goodmillwork.com/my_weblog/2009/11/good-millwork-superhumans-architecture-new-urbanverse.html
I love the idea of talking to architects/planners about this stuff. Looking forward to seeing this.

Hopefully I'll see you out again soon!
